JUNIOR BOWLS TASTER SESSION

Hatfield Bowls Club will be holding a Junior Bowls Taster Session on Saturday 29th October 2022 at 10am until 12pm in the indoor rink. The session is open to all Juniors who would like to try out bowls. There will be qualified coaches (all DBS checked) at the session to help and assist, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Come along and have a go! Bring a friend too!

Ladies County League Champions!

Hatfield ladies took on a team from Sawbridgeworth on Sunday 18th September and after winning that game went on to play in the Final against the Ladies from Tring in the afternoon. Hatfield won and are now the holders of the Ginder League Trophy!

County League – Divisional Finals Sat 27th August 2022

Hatfield Ladies qualified for the Finals Day and had to play Oakhill in the first semi final match at Harpenden Bowls Club who hosted the day. The win in this match ensured that Hatfield played in the Final in the afternoon against a very good Welwyn & District team. Hatfield Ladies won – Congratulations to all!

Hatfield will now play the winners of the East division on Sunday 18th September at Royston where the North and the West will also play. The winners of both matches will play in the afternoon to decide the eventual champions!

It was a very enjoyable and hot day at Harpenden who served bacon rolls, tea and coffee on arrival and laid on a lovely buffet lunch.

Did you see any of the bowls at the Commonwealth Games and think you might like to try this game? It’s pretty addictive once you give it a go and it really is a sport for all!

At Hatfield we have some great facilities for both outdoor and indoor bowls, a great bar and lounge area and a full calendar of social events, not to mention friendly and welcoming people!

Semi Finals of the Men’s Team Ten competition at Hatfield on Saturday 30th July 2022

Hatfield hosted the semi final between Baldock and Mill End while Welwyn Garden City hosted the other semi final between Royston and Garston. Baldock were the winners at Hatfield and Royston were the winners at WGC. Baldock and Royston played in the afternoon at Welwyn & District and Royston were the eventual Hertfordshire winners! Long day of bowling for some who then went on to play in the County Finals on Sunday!
