Hatfield Ladies were triumphant on Sunday 30th July at Bishop’s Stortford!
Alison Hall won the Ladies Singles title beating Una Harman from North Mymms 21-12. The match started at 12.30pm and finished just before the rain set in.
At about 3.30pm the Hatfield Ladies – Phyll Scarborough, Mary Banks and Alison Hall took on the Harpenden Ladies in the Triples Final – in the rain, pouring down at times! For the most part the Hatfield Ladies were trailing behind, but in the last few ends they clawed back the shots and picked up a welcome 6 to take the lead and hold on to the end to clinch the title!
Well done Ladies!
Thanks to all the die-hard supporters who stuck it out in the rain until the match finished at around 7.30pm!
